How to Live an Abundant Life
You can live in abundance with
Do you ever feel like there’s never enough? Not enough time, money, energy, or support?
As a Christian work-from-home mom, I know that feeling all too well. The to-do list never ends, the laundry piles up, and sometimes it feels like no matter how hard you're working, you're still behind. But here’s the truth: God has not called us to live in scarcity. He has called us to live in abundance.
Not the kind of abundance the world talks about—but the kind that anchors your heart in peace, even when life feels chaotic.
Here are five steps that have helped me build an abundant mindset, rooted in faith and practical habits:
1. A Relationship with Jesus and Daily Time in His Word
True abundance starts with the Source. When I feel empty, overwhelmed, or unsure, spending time with Jesus refuels me in ways nothing else can. John 10:10 reminds us that Jesus came to give us life and life more abundantly. That kind of life is only possible when we stay connected to Him.
Make it a priority to open your Bible, even if just for a few minutes a day, not out of obligation, but to hear from the One who loves you most.
2. A Way to Reflect on the Abundance in Your Life
Gratitude is powerful. It shifts our eyes from what’s lacking to what God has already provided. One of my daily habits is to write down five things I’m thankful for. It could be something as simple as a hot cup of coffee or a kind word from my child.
This simple act rewires your mind to notice blessings instead of burdens. And the more you reflect, the more you realize—you’re already living in God’s abundance.
3. A Plan for the Future
In Born to Win by Zig Ziglar, there’s a tool called the Wheel of Life. It divides your life into eight areas: Faith, Family, Finances, Fitness, Fun, Friends, Field (your work), and Future (your growth). When I took time to assess each of these areas, I could see where I was thriving and where I needed God’s help.
You can download the worksheet and take 10–15 minutes to reflect. It’s not about achieving balance in every area, but about asking: "Where is God inviting me to grow?"
4. Consistent Daily Actions (Habits!)
Abundance doesn’t show up all at once. It’s built one small, faithful step at a time. That’s why I’ve created a devotional habit stack that includes:
- Writing a verse
- Reading a chapter of Scripture
- Listing 5 things you’re thankful for
- Writing 5 prayer requests
- Planning your day with God
This month, I’ve also added the WIN Method:
- Write the Win – Set one meaningful goal for the day
- Interrupt negative thoughts – Speak truth over your mind
- Name your next step – Take action with God’s guidance
These tiny rhythms have a big impact.
5. A Community to Cheer You On
You were never meant to do this alone. Whether it’s your church family, a local Bible study, or a few trusted friends, community brings strength, encouragement, and accountability.
That’s why I’m developing a Christian Work-from-Home Mom community—a space where you can connect with others who share your faith and your desire to stay home with your children while still contributing financially.
If you’re looking for more connection, prayer, and support, I’d love to invite you to join me. Start by booking a free coffee chat and let’s talk about where you are and where you want to go.
You don’t need to hustle your way into abundance. You need to abide.
Let’s stay anchored in truth, walk in faith, and trust the One who provides more than enough.
