What Seeds Are You Planting This Spring?

What Seeds Are You Planting This Spring?

Apr 22, 2025

This season is about planting, not harvesting. If you’re in a place of obedience without obvious results, this post will encourage you to keep going in faith.
Spring is such a beautiful reminder that life begins in quiet places. Seeds hidden beneath the soil eventually push through and bloom—but not overnight. And if you’re anything like me, you’ve probably had seasons where you’ve planted and prayed… but wondered if anything was growing at all.

This blog post is for the Christian work-from-home mom who is faithfully sowing but not yet seeing fruit. You’ve been showing up, doing the work, making sacrifices, and trusting God. But the results feel slow. Can I encourage you? That doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong.

Gardening + God’s Timing

One year I planted squash. I’d researched everything—soil, seed varieties, planting times. I prepped the soil and planted my seeds. Then came the waiting. The weeds. The bugs. And even the chickens. I almost gave up. But I kept tending. And eventually, I harvested squash. Not as much as I hoped for, but enough to prove: growth was happening all along.

Galatians 6:9 tells us, "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." Just like the garden, our lives and businesses need patience and faith.

3 Encouragements for the Season You’re In

1. Don’t Wait for Perfect Conditions to Start

Sometimes we think we have to have everything “just right” before we begin. But soil doesn’t have to be perfect to grow good things. Take the next step, even if it’s small. God honors obedience.

📖 "Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established." – Proverbs 16:3

2. Protect What You’ve Planted

Discouragement is like weeds. It can choke out your confidence. Stay rooted in God’s Word and surround yourself with people who remind you of truth. Not all fruit shows up in finances. Look for the quiet growth: more peace, more prayer, more purpose.

📖 "Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them." – Matthew 7:20

3. Stay Close to the Source

When you feel uncertain, don’t reach for answers in your inbox or social feed—go to the Father. His voice is steady. His timing is perfect. His harvest is worth waiting for.

📖 "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me." – John 10:27

📖 "Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you." – James 4:8

What’s Next?

You don’t have to rush the harvest. You just have to be faithful in the planting. God sees every step, every prayer, and every moment you showed up.
If you’re in that waiting season and need some encouragement, I’d love to talk with you. Let’s figure out what seeds you’re planting—and how to keep tending them.
